In Loving Memory

On Thursday morning, May 25th at 3 AM, my amazing mother peacefully passed on. I know for a fact that she wasn’t in any pain, and for that I am grateful. My dad mentioned that Mom had been talking for months about taking another long trip. Dad said, with tears in his eyes, “Well, she’s taking that trip… a VERY long trip!”

We will be burying her tomorrow. I’m planning on playing “our song” at her funeral, and reading a eulogy in her honor. It’s a terribly sad time, and I already miss her with all my heart,

Tomorrow night, I’ve organized an “alternative service”. A group of us are going to go down to the beach after hours, tell stories about my wonderful mother, and then each do a shot of tequila in her honor. She wasn’t big on the beach, OR tequila, but what the heck, it will US feel better! And I’m sure she’ll be smiling down on us all.
