Our Love’s Got An Attitude!

A few years ago, a very close friend of mine wrote commercial jingles for a very high-end advertising agency in New York City. He was really successful at this, and would occasionally call me in to play and sing on some pretty big commercials… like McDonalds, Hellman’s Mayo and Dr. Pepper to name just a few.

My buddy would produce the demo, and if the client accepted it, then they referred to it as “going final”. Shortly after that, you guys would all hear it on TV or radio… and we would break open the champagne!

Not all the commercial demos that I played on went final, although if you ask me, they all sounded like anything on the airwaves today… My friend is a real pro!

There were a couple of times that a demo went down the tubes, but I thought it was too good a musical idea to be trashed for good. So I got together with my friend and “borrowed” the original idea, and we turned it into a full song.

Because I’m going to be heading up to Woodstock to try to finish my CD this weekend, (I hope, I hope, I hope!), get a gander at what I’ve provided for your weekend listening pleasure:
