SHE'S GOT THE LOOK!

TOO MUCH INFORMATION ALERT: Today I had my twice-yearly GYN appointment. I PROMISE I won't subject you to the details of my actual appointment! But let me tell you about my GYN. My doctor is an adorable French woman in her 50's who always has the glint of a grin on her face. I guess when you are a GYN in NYC, you've seen it all! She's really a hoot. She attributes any problem you might have to yeast. That's right. Yeast! Got cramps... YEAST! Got a headache... YEAST! Can't sleep at night... YEAST! Can't remember where you put the car keys... you got it, YEAST! (Sorry if this grosses you out, but she IS a doctor!) Anyhow, I got the clean bill of heath & you'll be happy to know that my "yeast count" was normal...

I spent tonight at one of my best friends' apartment getting my hair back to "Rock Star Red!" "N" works at a fancy shmancy 5th Ave. salon that charges you $100 just to read a magazine in their reception room. We've been known to have "girls night in" and consume several bottles of Chardonnay and proceed with a hair cut. Even when she's well lubricated, "N" has NEVER let me down with her hair styling skills. Tonight was no exception. I am now a shade of red that isn't necessarily found in nature... BUT I LOVE IT!

I've been a redhead all of my adult life. But I had to tone it down a bit when I was playing with Cyndi Lauper. I'm not sure Cyndi was too wild over my wildness after I had been ambushed on AMBUSH MAKEOVER. So I had "N" tone it down a bit for me. But now, with my new CD in the works and a gig tomorrow night, I feel like a new girl!
